Im Rahmen des DCA Herbstrundgang am 30.9.2017 findet um 15:00 Uhr ein Artist Talk mit den beteiligten Künstlern und diesjährigen Herbstresidenten der Künstleraustauschprogramme der Landeshauptstadt Dresden aus Schweden, Griechenland, Amerika und Frankreich innerhalb ihrer Ausstellung DRESDEN RESIDENTS statt.

Die Künstler werden durch die Ausstellungsexponate führen und zudem mit Text und Bild weitere Einblicke in ihr künstlerisches Schaffen geben. Freuen Sie sich auf Beiträge von Lars Lundqvist (SWE), Katerina Velliou (GRC), Patrick Mauk (USA), Rebekah Wilhelm (USA), Axel Gouala (FRA). Sie sind herzlichen Eingeladen!

Rebekah Anne Wilhelm (Cleveland/OHIO)

Rebekah Wilhelm is a professional artist and printmaker currently working in Cleveland Ohio.  She works at Zygote Press as the Shop Manager and Educational Liaison for resident artists and shop newcomers.  In 2015 she became a certified Green Printer at Zeamays in Florence, Massachusetts.  She has transitioned Zygote from toxic chemistry and has been pivotal in teaching these methods to the Zygote community.  She completed her Masters of Fine Arts from the University of Delaware and has her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Cleveland Institute of Art. She has shown her work in multiple group and curated shows as well as a solo show in New York City.  She also currently teaches as an adjunct professor at the Tri-C Community College. www.rebekahwilhelm.com

Lars Lundqvist (Tidaholm/Schweden)

Der 1949 geborene Künstler Lars Lundqvist lebt in Lund (Schweden) und arbeitet als Maler und Druckgrafiker. Seit 1988 ist er Lehrer an Helliden Grafikschule (Schweden) und seit 1996 Leiter der Lithographischen Akademie in Tidaholm, Schweden.

Patrick Mauk (Columbus/OHIO)

Patrick, a native of Wapakoneta, Ohio, earned his BFA in printmaking from Wright State University in 1996 and his MFA in printmaking and painting from DAAP program at the University of Cincinnati in 1999. He spent two years teaching drawing and printmaking as a Visiting Professor at the University of Dayton, and three years as Adjunct Faculty at Wright State University before he began his work as Gallery Manager at the Dayton Visual Art Center (DVAC), in 2004. Patrick divides his time between his family and his studio. In the studio, his focus on printmaking, painting and drawing – emphasizing mark making and simplification of form through expressive treatment of the media.

Katerina Velliou (Thessaloniki/Griechenland)

Born in Halkidiki in Greece. In 2014 she graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the School of Visual and Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Graduate studies on architectural design at the School of Architecture, University of Thessaly. She presented one solo exhibition (Metamorfosis Art Gallery, Thessaloniki) and she participated in many group exhibitions in Greece and elsewhere.
